Before the end of the school year, I want to "go wild in art" with my class.
Imagine being a child and walking into your classroom and seeing the room wide open except for plastic covering the floor and a few feet up the wall. Laying all about is an arsenal of every item you've used throughout the year for art and sensory fun: Shaving cream, shampoo & conditioner, frozen paint, cornstarch, baking soda, balloons with paint, oatmeal, Jello, applesauce, salt, water color, tempura paint, finger paint, paper of all sizes... Paint brushes, squishy balls, bubble wrap, fly swatters, potato mashers, marbles, coconuts, cut fruit and vegetables, tree branches, foam shapes... And then being told, "Hey, show me what you can do, let's make some art!" The mess would be huge, but the so would the smiles.
On second thought, maybe it would be wiser to do this outside!
